P#33 – Guess the Sound

Guess The Sound is an Android educational puzzle game designed for children to learn and recognize everyday sounds. Players listen to short clips — like a cow mooing, a doorbell ringing, or a dog barking — and then guess the correct word by assembling letters from randomized options. The game uses a coin reward system to encourage progress, with hints available to reveal the first letter, hide incorrect letters, or skip a question.

Levels are defined in XML with associated sound files and images, making the app flexible and expandable. It uses SoundPool for fast audio playback, custom dialogs for feedback, and a simple scoring system to track coins and progression. With reset options, congratulatory messages, and social sharing features, Guess The Sound is both fun and educational, helping kids connect sounds to the world around them.
